Deadstack is a curated archive of startup post-mortems. We believe that failure is the best teacher, but only if we take the time to study it.
The Mission
In the startup world, we obsess over the unicorns—the 1% of outliers that made it big. We study their growth hacks, their culture, and their timing. But we often ignore the 99% that didn't make it.
The truth is, you can learn more from a failed project than a successful one. Success often has many fathers (timing, luck, capital), but failure is usually specific and brutal.
What We Collect
We collect the stories of products, apps, and startups that have been shut down. We are specifically interested in the "why"—the post-mortem analysis that founders write after the dust settles.
